Wilton 8" Reversible Bench Vise, Opens to 14-1/2", Pipe Jaws, 360° Swivel

The Wilton 4800R Reversible Bench Vise gives you two vises' worth of capacity on one bench. In the normal position, its 8" jaws open to 9-1/4" for everyday work. Reverse the vise and maximum opening grows to 14-1/2", so you can clamp oversized plate, long stock, fixtures and assemblies that a standard 8" vise cannot hold. The body and movable jaw are 30,000 PSI gray cast iron, and the swivel base is 60,000 PSI ductile iron. Built-in pipe jaws hold 3/8" to 4" pipe, two large anvil surfaces give you room to form and shape material, and hardened steel serrated jaw inserts grip securely and can be replaced as they wear. The 360° swivel base locks with dual lockdown handles, and four mounting holes bolt the vise to a secured workbench. The 4800R is a screw-spindle vise built for metalworking, fabrication, maintenance and general shop use. It does not have a quick-release mechanism, and it should not be used as a press. The tommy-bar handle is designed to bend if excessive clamping pressure is applied, which protects the vise; never use a hammer, pipe extension or cheater bar on the handle.
